Production of the XC90 will kick off in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2022. Volvo's next big platform, Scalable Product Architecture 2 (SPA 2), will arrive in 2021 with the next-generation XC90 SUV. And as new vehicle platforms are built, they'll be designed to handle electrification right from the start. "We're going to launch one BEV every year through 2025," Gustafsson told Roadshow at a media event in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
